Save the Forest

  Created for Brackeys Game Jam 2020.1  

(Optimal display settings are 1920x1080  or 1280 x720 screen resolution)

Highscore available on download version only.

Game was created in Gdevelop (free), for Windows (64 bit)  / Mac OS / and Linux

Audio was created with JFXR and FL Studio.

I used some free assets as well as many custom made assests/animations.

  Version 1.3 - Save the Forest  

Dig holes to prevent lumberjacks from reaching the forest and chopping all the trees down. Digging can also unearth chests, which contain mines.

The game is currently in development, but the somewhat polished prototype is available for play now for FREE. Currently implemented 25 playable rounds which progressively increase in difficulty. There is a simple tutorial the first time you play the game, as well as a local high-score.

I had so much fun making this game I am considering adding more things to it after the Jam. Feel free to comment with your constructive feedback, suggestions and or bug information. Please leave a detailed description of what OS you are using. 

In the near future I plan on adding an html5 version of the game to itch as well as more levels, items, skins, enemies and even an online leader-board.

The deforestation of most of the worlds forests (not just rain-forests) inspired the theme for the game.
